Many local residents require the use of needles and syringes for self-administered health purposes such as diabetes. These needles and syringes are generally known as ‘community sharps’ and these community sharps should not be disposed of in Landfill Red-lid bin or public litter bins, but instead be placed in specific sharps disposal bins.
