Plastic bags can ONLY be placed in the Landfill Red-lid bin. They must NOT be placed in the yellow or green bins.
Hint: Only 3% of the 3.9 billion plastic bags used annually in Australia are recycled. Recycling facilities are available at local supermarkets and retail outlets. Woolworths, Coles, IGA and Big W accept plastic bags for recycling.
When no longer reusable, soft plastics can go in the “RedCycle" bin at the front of participating supermarkets (free).
